Puppies are available!
Summer is upon us and what better gift than a puppy? It looks like we will have black and chocolate, male and females available – cute puppies are just an email away! These sweet pups’ “go home” date is July 13th. They will be limited registration with the AKC and have a one year genetic health guarantee, as well. While I know puppies can be a lot of work, they are also the best Best Friend. Not exactly sure what you would do with a new puppy right now? I give LOTS and lots of info with our pups to help make your transition as easy as can be. Here’s…

Adrian’s beautiful chocolate and black puppies – the boys!
As promised, here are Adrian’s boys… beautiful, strong, blocky and still cuddly as can be. Just the way we like our labradors. We grabbed some photos of pups after their romp in the water today and some are still a bit wet, as you can see. They say Labradors love water – boy that’s true of these little ones! Gray Light Green Dark Blue Light Blue Aren’t they cute?! Did you get a chance to see their sisters? You can check them out here.

Adrian’s Puppies – black and chocolate labradors
THE GIRLS We are always so grateful to do what we do – and Adrian’s black and chocolate labradors make us even more thankful for it. They are adorable in every way! Their personalities are just starting to show, but we see the buds of patterns and habits and it will be so fun to watch them come out of their shells. In the world of puppy raising, there are weeks that require more effort, clean up, training, time spent etc. and those weeks don’t allow as much time for pictures and blogging. I’m sorry I’m just now formally introducing you to Adrian’s litter, but I think it’s worth the…

9 week old puppy love!
This sweet girl, Layla, is one of Piper’s puppies and she has been staying with us this past week while her family is out of town, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Seeing as we usually send our pups home at 8 weeks old, a 9 week old Labrador is something we rarely see. And it is sweet as pie. Since we have her here, we’ve been spending some time practicing recall and she’s learning her name already! She is eager to please, happy to run and romp and happy to nap on your lap. In other words, a perfect puppy. It’s also SO fun to watch their instincts come…

Going home days – Labrador Puppies
What do the final days with a litter of Labrador puppies look like?! There are LOTS of puppy cuddles, and lots of puppy teaching sessions – from being up off the ground on a garden wall or being on an ottoman; loud noises; alone time; substitution training (focusing on chewing); crate time etc. Manding is the process of teaching a puppy to wait for you by sitting (as opposed to jumping) quietly (as opposed to barking/whining). You reward this behavior by offering praise or a treat (Labrador retrievers are highly food motivated, so small treats work fabulously for this) and you reinforce this behavior by ignoring them entirely until they…

Piper’s puppies are ready to head home!
As promised, here are some photos of our sweet Girls. I am so thrilled to have met all our Kindred Pup families over the past weeks and I’m happy to say I think we’ve found some wonderful people. Thank you all, again, for trusting us with your pups! Here’s some yummy photos of your beautiful girls! Miss Orange Miss Orange was not so sure about her height challenges. She took to it very cautiously and you could see the victory all over her face when she finally shut down her worry about it. This litter has the most gorgeous shade of chocolate in their coats! Way to go, Miss Orange!…

Our Last Weekend with Piper’s pups
I cannot believe our time with this wonderful litter is almost over! We have been BUSY BUSY BUSY over here doing our training/teaching time with the pups, organizing paperwork, and getting ready for these little ones to head to their homes. We could not be more thrilled with this litter and how they’ve done with all our exposure exercises – I’ll write more about that in a future post – but, before I put my computer away for a few hours today, I wanted to share these beautiful pups with you. Here are Piper’s beautiful labrador boys: Mr Gray Cuddly, confident and sweet as can be, Mr Gray handled all…

Nala’s Polar Bear Labrador Puppies
The Girls **Edit: This post was supposed to go live a couple of days ago, and didn’t for some reason. I’m sorry about that! I am publishing it now for you to see! Swoon! Nala’s litter is now 4 1/2 weeks old and have begun eating food and spending lap time with us outside their box and away from mom. They are still quite uncertain of this big wide world, but are content in our laps and spend most of the time just licking our faces and enjoying the cuddles. We are loving this time with our pups and it is so fun to see the different litters at their…

Nala’s Polar Bear Labrador Puppies
“Nala’s Polar Bear Labrador Puppies” As I teased yesterday, Nala’s litter of Labrador Puppies look like tiny little Polar Bears. They are so adorable soft and fluffy and nearly all of them are very light cream or white. The black collared male is the darkest of the litter by far, and he is STRIKING. These 7 beautiful pups are so loved already, and my kiddos are in heaven with so many puppies around! I’ll introduce the boys today and the girls tomorrow; I wouldn’t want you all to die of cuteness. 🙂 Mr Dark Blue English Labrador Puppies have that gorgeously blocky head, a shorter snout, a wider build than…

Adrian’s litter of Labrador Puppies is 2 weeks old!
I am so very proud to present to you our Adrian’s sweet pups, 6 chocolates and 3 blacks, and all as cute as buttons. Adrian had 6 chocolate Labrador Puppies – 3 females and 3 males, and 3 black Labrador Puppies – 2 Females and 1 male. They are so cute and thick and have proven to be a very strong bunch thus far. Adrian is the most petite of our females, weighing in at 58 pounds. She is petite and sweet as can be. One of our families used a phrase today that PERFECTLY suits Adrian: She’s a LAPrador. Tom is the sire of this litter and a big…
