We are so very thankful to have such a wonderful group of people on our Reservation List. Every “meeting” leaves our family saying “they’re our favorite” and “I’m so glad – they’re so nice”. In all the workload of breeding puppies and raising dogs, the thing that worries us the most is that we want all our puppies to find loving, caring homes. And so far, we’ve been THRILLED with the homes that have welcomed a Kindred Pup labrador into their lives. We have been so excited to introduce you to our Sweet Piper – a perfect black Labrador retriever. Since you are “meeting” her online, we will try to do our best to describe her to you. Piper came to us from a wonderful breeder in the Ukraine from wonderful lines. We have just fallen in love with her and we know you will, too. Piper is playful and easy-going, but has a wonderful protective instinct over our family, especially the younger kiddos. Piper has passed her hips/elbows test in the Ukraine, rating “good” and “excellent”. Her pedigree is littered with excellent sires and dams from both hunting/sport and show lines.…

I cannot believe we are only (roughly) one week out from Belle’s litter! Just one more! We couldn’t be more excited. She’s getting lots of extra love and she’s starting to root around in her whelping box where she’s been sleeping. Remember, genetic possibilities include the all 3(4) colors from this litter! Let me tell you, as the owner of more than a couple of dogs, that a well-trained dog is a joy unrivaled. Labradors are large and strong. Their famous and endearing “otter tails” can clean off a table top quicker than your hands can! Usually, the clanging, crashing, spilling sounds that accompany this “clearing” startle the Labrador just as much as the owner. (I often wonder if the Lab has any idea what their tail is doing, or if it is independent of its body in some way. At least independent of its consciousness.) We are just a hair over three short weeks away from our next Labrador retriever litter, and I cannot even tell you how eager we all are. It just doesn’t get any better than that A healthy, beautiful lab puppy is not just a pet, it can be your best friend. Occasionally I hear back from our Kindred Pup families who update me on how their pups are doing and they send me pictures. I have been having a hard time describing to you just how beautiful Belle’s coloring is. It is dark, but rich, not ashy, and almost has a slight redness to it. It is truly the most beautiful coat I’ve seen from any chocolate labrador, anywhere. I think the Colorado labrador population is about to get even more beautiful. Her coat is also thick and warm and as soft as can be.
